The baby gets all the attention

I love the Steam series. I really, really do. It's my favorite of all my stories. That being said, I am just so tickled that my "Mulligan AU" is so much more popular.

Mulligan AU? Oh right, here:

After doing my Modern AU and explicitly stating that I would never do a rewrite of the ATLA cartoon series, I WENT AND STARTED A REWRITE.

Anyway, it's doing pretty well for four chapters and only 2K words. I get about four story followers on FFN with every update and the view count is obscene compared to Steam. I'm not bothered by the attention, it's super flattering. I am a little exasperated though by the comments that people wish the chapters were longer.

Each "chapter" is really a scene. I don't know if that's what it'll always be, but right now the average word count is 400-600 words. Steam updates are just shy of 4k words on average. And I'm just saying, if people want longer updates they should read my favorite child!

I can lead readers to my work but I can't make them read.

Steam is going well. I'm back in my Fourth Chapter Rut and having trouble getting out of it, but I have a much better plan of attack. What is not going as planned is the editing of Book 1. I just don't have the time and that's making me sad, since I'm actually dedicating all my creative energy to Steam. I have an original story that I've shelved for this! But, that just happens.

Anyway, this wasn't really an update. Just dropping in to say hi and pour some TEA.

Also, Sparkle Bunny, if you read these, I miss seeing you!
